Alpha du Cap Guest House is surrounded by a large variety of golf courses offering visitors a selection of excellent courses in majestic settings and rated as some of the best in South Africa. Caddies are available at most courses. Exceptions are on cart only estates and at certain golf and housing estates. Golf carts are limited on many of the courses and bookings are advised.

Drakenstein Lion Park

Drakenstein Lion Park is a privately funded facility. The Park provides lions in distress with sanctuary, where they are safe from abuse and persecution, and treated with the compassion and respect they deserve.

The Park is actively involved in improving the quality of life of lions in captivity, locally as well as internationally by offering these animals a home.

The Park is open daily from 09h30 to 17h00. Feeding Times are on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 16h00.

World of Birds – Hout Bay

Over 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species are uniquely presented in more than 100 spacious landscaped walk through aviaries, allowing you the most intimate closeness with nature. A tropical garden setting in the Hout Bay Valley is the environment in which the aviaries are spaced over 4 ha of land, framed by the back of Table Mountain and Little Lion’s Head.

	Cheetah Outreach & Eagle Encounters at Spiers - Stellenbosch Spier has made land available to a group of hand-raised cheetahs in the care of the Cheetah Outreach Programme. Learn more about these incredible cats from a distance, or get up close and personal and even step inside an enclosure. Spier is also home to Eagle Encounters Raptor Rehabilitation Centre.
	Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm – Franschhoek Guided tours lead you across open dams via ramp ways. Over a thousand crocs are housed in these dames. Visitors have an opportunity to touch and hold a baby croc, and during summer months, they will have the opportunity to witness the feeding of the bigger crocs. Le Bonheur also offers a visit of the tanner, a on-site shop and a restaurant where you can sample crocodile meat dishes.
	Westcoast Ostrich Show Ranch - Blouberg Situated only twenty minutes from Alpha du Cap Guest House, the Kanigowski family have built up a very popular tourist destination encompassing informative tours with a high quality, great value leather and curio shops, ostrich egg and leather factory, and an ostrich meat orientated restaurant. The business is family owned and run, with Gavin and his son, Pawel, on hand to greet visitors.
